Trainer class 2013...

Sorry for all the problems posting this year's selections.  We ran into a snag late at school with this website so we had to create a new page for you to check.  I heard that at least one student didn't get our text to check the other site.  Regardless, my apologies to any of you that didn't get that text and didn't find out the picks Friday evening.

This was by far the hardest class we have ever picked.  Needless to say, there was countless discussions between myself, Pat, and the current student trainers.  There were several options we could have went with.  Bottom line we would have loved to take more than the 5 that were selected.  With 5, that gives us 18 total student trainers which is more than enough.  The best and worst part of running this program is this time of year and making these difficult decisions.  For those that weren't chosen, there was nothing that you were lacking, just more that the competition was that great.  Every student that was invited to shadow, could easily have been a great asset to our program but I just can't accommodate everyone!

New Trainer Class 2012!!

Here is the list of the new upcoming class for sports medicine. We had to change up how we did things a little bit this year, but we felt good about the pool of applicants that we received. The unique task for next year is that we only have 7 returning trainers! That is going to put some pressure on this new class to step it up a little faster than in the past. I hope you are excited to join our "trainer family" One important note, we are going to have a mandatory "new" trainer meeting Wed. May 2nd at 4 pm in the annex portable. It is the portable right inside the outdoor basketball courts near the annex. Make sure to attend this meeting.

2011 Training class!!

Thanks again for all your interest in the training program. I thought last year's group was hard to pick. This has been the most difficult class I have had to pick in a long time. It was incredibly difficult to narrow down our list to just six students. The entire group of shadows were amazing and the MV sports med. group really appreciated the time you took in coming over to the training room and spending time with us.
